My folks and I just returned from a weeks vacation in Mexico. We flew into Zihuatanejo and drove about 30 miles north to the small village of Troncones. We stayed in a beautiful house on the beach and we listened to the tunes of Jack Johnson all day long, for 7 days straight. Papa got to surf every morning at one of his favorite spots - La Saladita, and Mama got to drink margaritas and eat lobster. As for me, I got to walk the beach on Papa's shoulders, splash around in our swimming pool, shriek with amazement when spotting one of the five cats that occupied our home, and take daily two hour naps in my pea pod travel bed (which my folks enjoyed even more I did). I also made a friend - Evita - whose parents own Hacienda Eden, one of the loveliest hotels in Troncones.
This was my folks’ third trip to Troncones and their first since my arrival. While traveling with Little Miss Avery proved to be exhausting at times, I did fabulously well for an 8 and a half month old monster. Our first family vacation was a success and we truly had a wonderful time. The people of Troncones were very kind and hospitable, and I look forward to returning to mi casa de Mexico again soon.
